Our last morning at Cottars 1920s Safari Camp, after breakfast we fly by 16 seat turboprop 200mi Northeast to Borana Lodge which is within the Borana Ranch property and situated seventeen miles north of the equator at the eastern edge of the Laikipia plateau overlooking the Northern Frontier District. The Boran Ranch borders the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and also the northern slopes of Mount Kenya. The plane lands on a grass airstrip and we are greeted by our guide, tracker & driver Solomon.
